This week we celebrate reaching the end of our 3rd year as a practice. To celebrate the ongoing achievements of our regional practice and involvement with the Sunshine Coast community and beyond, our Practice Leader Greg Thomas shares an insight into where we have come from and where we are going.
“When I started Greenedge Design, from a makeshift stand-up desk in my garage, I couldn’t imagine that I would be leading a 6-person strong team and working on dream projects within the first 3 years. To get to this point has been exciting, but sometimes exhausting especially juggling life with a young family with twins.
Over the past years it has not been uncommon to receive an email from me late at night or reach me on my mobile when I was on annual leave, but I accepted that is the commitment I had to make in order to establish a practice that seeks to excel in service and design outcomes in order to provide our clients, and their users, with rewarding and beneficial experiences.
Thankfully, Greenedge Design now consists of a dedicated and highly skillful team whom collectively are developing our firm as one of Queensland’s leading landscape architecture practices: A claim founded on our success in designing award winning projects.
So as we roll into our fourth year in practice, we look forward to further strengthening our niche markets working within the education sector, nature playgrounds and recreational master planning and facilities, as well as the wider range of projects we have been involved with in the past years. Our success in all our work can be contributed to collaboration with our clients and consultants, which we regard very highly. And so my final word in this celebratory summary is to acknowledge and thank those who have supported us, referred us for work, and continue to engage us for our creative thinking and carefully designed outcomes. We look forward to continued success working with you in the next few years.”
